Carpin with the Grandchildren

Had a ball this morning with my Grandchildren (Brenden 16) and (Lianna 12). The bite was extremely slow but we managed to bring a couple of Carp to the net. My objective was to get them into a couple of 20lb. fish (half accomplished). Lianna was first up with an 18.6 lb. beast. Through cries of "help Grandpa help" and a little coaching from the old man, she did a great job and brought it to the net like a pro. Good job!!!

Lianna was also the chum master for the day, after a few tries she really got the hang of firing out the corn. Besides, I think she just liked using the slingshot.

Brenden was up next and he caught an 8.8 lber. Not as big as his sisters but a nice fish just the same.

This is such an easy laid back way of fishing, (especially for kiddies of all ages) all you need is a comfortable chair for occasional naps. A heavy duty rod and reel, a bucket of corn and patience. The rewards are fantastic, look at the smile on that face. Lianna made me promise another Carp trip next week before she has to go back to school.
 NO PROBLEM!!
